Beryllium

Beryllium is lighter than aluminium and several times stiffer, and sound travels through it at roughly 12,900 metres per second. A dome made from it holds its shape at frequencies where softer materials start to flex. It is hard to form and toxic as dust, so very few factories work with it, and those that do charge for it.
