Engineering notes

  • Burmester's 3D High-End system has 21 speakers and 1,420 W, including a 400 W booster for the subwoofer, and is standard on every Purosangue.
  • The ribbon tweeter debuts in a production car here. Its metal foil diaphragm is light and flat, and Burmester says its radiation gives a direct, position-independent sound at every listening position.
  • Hybrid amplification uses analog stages and filters for treble and midrange and digital amplification for the low range. The system is fully active, with every speaker individually controlled and amplified.
  • Ultra-flat full-range speakers handle surround and 3D because their shallow depth allows optimal positioning.
